Supports soothing, moisturizing. Tranexamic Acid is a lysine derivative, TXA mainly reduces the activity/property of melanin synthesis of melanocytes. Inhibition of UV-induced plasmin activity. UV rays increase the production of plasminogen activator by keratinocytes. TXA blocks the binding of plasminogen to keratinocytes and thereby inhibits UV-induced plasmin activity in keratinocytes. Pasmin is a protease that releases arachidonic acid (AA) and melanocyte-stimulating hormone alpha (α-MSH), both of which have pigment-stimulating properties. In addition, by blocking the conversion of plasminogen to plasmin, TXA indirectly reduces the production of the release of b-FGF, which is a potent melanocyte growth factor and promotes melanocyte proliferation.
